چکیده
Aims Functional cognitive disorders (FCDs) refer to conditions where patients present with persistent problematic subjective memory complaints that are not consistent their observed level of functioning. The demonstrated symptoms also in keeping a recognized psychiatric or neurodegenerative process. FCD is likely be underdiagnosed clinical practice the place-holder label mild impairment being used some cases due lack clarity about its symptomatology. In this paper, we describe two whose presentations were suggestive FCDs. Methods Mrs X, 53 years old female previously known mental health services referred for increasing difficulties her over 2 which she believed was impacting activities daily living. She has history ischaemic heart disease, fibromyalgia, Insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, depression, and polycystic ovarian syndrome. On assessment MOCA = 15/30, MMSE 25/30. Mr Y, 57 male services. Although, been treated anxiety depression by GP. He presented 3-year struggling his memory. reported forgetful appointments he paste sticky papers on fridge reminders. Similarly, diagnosis Fibromyalgia essential hypertension. Assessment – 19/30 Results FCDs can quite challenging because picture overlaps other conditions. Typically, report issues around function absence relevant neuropathology evidence inconsistency between observations at assessment. Regarding our cases, primary presenting memory, forgetfulness. Other noteworthy mismatch scores MOCA, MMSE, functioning, problems. Neurological examinations neuroimaging any disorders. A differential functional disorder considered discrepancies reported, assessments as well imaging. Conclusion condition common but underdiagnosed. Hence, it imperative clinicians keep mind when do meet diagnostic criteria dementia medical condition. Correctly identifying diagnosing positively impact patient outcomes.

Functional Hubs in Mild Cognitive Impairment
We investigate how hubs of functional brain networks are modified as a result of mild cognitive impairment (MCI), a condition causing a slight but noticeable decline in cognitive abilities, which sometimes precedes the onset of Alzheimer’s disease. We used magnetoencephalography (MEG) to investigate the functional brain networks of a group of patients suffering from MCI and a control group of h...
متن کاملIdentification of mild cognitive impairment disease using brain functional connectivity and graph analysis in fMRI data
Background: Early diagnosis of patients in the early stages of Alzheimer's, known as mild cognitive impairment, is of great importance in the treatment of this disease. If a patient can be diagnosed at this stage, it is possible to treat or delay Alzheimer's disease. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) is very common in the process of diagnosing Alzheimer's disease. In th...
متن کاملProfile of Cognitive Complaints in Vascular Mild Cognitive Impairment and Mild Cognitive Impairment
Objective. Vascular mild cognitive impairment (VaMCI) is differentiated from mild cognitive impairment (MCI) by the presence of vascular events such as stroke or small vessel disease. Typically, MCI and VaMCI patients present with subjective complaints regarding cognition; however, little is known about the specific nature of these complaints. We aimed to create a profile of subjective cognitiv...

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effects of moderate to high-intensity aerobic exercise on HbA1c (Glycated hemoglobin), FBS (fasting blood sugar) and cognitive function in mild cognitive impairment prediabetes patients. Materials and Methods: Seventeen elderly mild cognitive impairment (age 55-70) men and women were selected and were randomly divided into 2 groups as aerobic (n=1...
متن کاملMild Cognitive Impairment.
PURPOSE OF REVIEW As individuals age, the quality of cognitive function becomes an increasingly important topic. The concept of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) has evolved over the past 2 decades to represent a state of cognitive function between that seen in normal aging and dementia. As such, it is important for health care providers to be aware of the condition and place it in the appropriat...
